Congratulations to Fabian Robinson (handler) and Graubear’s Boker (our Bear!) for winning the the FCI-IPO World Championship of 2014!!

IPO has three major components of testing—Tracking, Obedience, Protection (people may think this sounds similar to Schutzhund trials, and those now follow IPO regulations and are considered the same thing in most circles), and the sum of all points in the triad sets your ranking. As you can see by the three-way heat one point below our pair, it’s an INTENSE competition!

#PersonofInterest Season 3 had highest rated episodes of the series so far.

Source: SpoilerTV - Do TV Series Get Better or Worse Over Time

"Enough of the veterans, let’s have a look at some newer series, yet well established series from the last few years. Person of Interest is a great place to start, especially given that it’s my favourite television series. It’s received an 8.4 overall rating from 78,894 votes, and you know a television series is a goodie when you take into account that not one episode has an individual rating less than 8.1, with the three highest episodes, all from season 3 and including the season 3 finale, have a 9.8 average rating from well over a thousand votes each, one of the best sample sizes per episode you’ll see. It’s not surprising that each season and the series overall all trend upwards, with nearly two thirds of episodes in season 3 receiving ratings higher than 9.0, compared to 5 in its freshman run".

So despite some “fans” moaning about how season 3 was the worst the numbers do not reflect that.

What did Careese say after “The Crossing” episode:

  • OMFG They killed off Carter!!1! I quit!

Then why are you still watching POI? Define quit.

  • Without Carter, POI isn’t the same!

Fuck you! POI is all about an ex-CIA and a reclusive billionaire saves the victims and stops the perpetrators by receiving the numbers from The Machine. Not a stupid romance story between a Detective and an ex-CIA.

  • POI’s ratings gonna go down!

Oh really?

*the sound of Jonathan Nolan laughing in his ass off echoing in the distance*

CollegeHumor explains Net Neutrality →

collegehumor:

image

I’m Adam.

-And I’m Emily.

We make “funny videos” on the Internet.

-But soon, we might not be able to.

That’s because…

image

…net neutrality is in jeopardy. Net Neutrality is the principle that says ISPs can’t discriminate between different types of traffic.

That means that…

image

…whether you’re a bedroom music producer, a couple on an amateur porn site, or just someone with a start up idea - you get access to the same users as Netflix, Facebook or Amazon. On the Internet, anyone can succeed.

But…

image

\

…America’s ISPs wanna set up a pay-for-play system where rich companies pay extra to get to those users first.

If this happens…

image

…instead of a wonderful playground if innovation that it is now, the Internet will become like cable TV where you can only get stuff that’s been pre-approved by a bunch of old rich guys.

Ten years from now…

image

…your Internet bill could be a bigger “fustercluck” than your cable bill.

Now, you might be thinking…

image

…isn’t the government supposed to protect me from fragrant doucheholery like this?

Unfortunately…

image

…the former chairman of the FCC (government agency that’s SUPPOSED to protect you) is now the cable industry’s head lobbyist. And another former cable industry lobbyist is now the CURRENT head of the FCC.

So…

image

…we can’t trust the FCC to make the right decision on their own. That’s why WE need to protect the Internet we love. The chaotic, AWESOME, often quite weird, place where literally everyone’s voice can be heard.

In a few months…

image

…the FCC will approve this festering soal of proposal unless we speak up. The Internet is one of the few places where human voices speak louder than money. So while that’s still the case, let’s use those voices. Go to DEARFCC.ORG and tell them to protect Net Neutrality. Thanks for doing your part to protect the Internet.

If you woke up tomorrow, and your internet looked like this, what would you do?

Imagine all your favorite websites taking forever to load, while you get annoying notifications from your ISP suggesting you switch to one of their approved “Fast Lane” sites.

Think about what we would lose: all the weird, alternative, interesting, and enlightening stuff that makes the Internet so much cooler than mainstream Cable TV. What if the only news sites you could reliably connect to were the ones that had deals with companies like Comcast and Verizon?

On September 10th, just a few days before the FCC’s comment deadline, public interest organizations are issuing an open, international call for websites and internet users to unite for an “Internet Slowdown” to show the world what the web would be like if Team Cable gets their way and trashes net neutrality. Net neutrality is hard to explain, so our hope is that this action will help SHOW the world what’s really at stake if we lose the open Internet.

If you’ve got a website, blog or tumblr, get the code to join the #InternetSlowdown here: https://battleforthenet.com/sept10th

Everyone else, here’s a quick list of things you can do to help spread the word about the slowdown: http://tumblr.fightforthefuture.org/post/96020972118/be-a-part-of-the-great-internet-slowdown
